wpd secures 156.9 MW in heavily oversubscribed BNetzA tender

wpd has been awarded contracts for 156.9 MW in the latest BNetzA tender for onshore wind. The round was heavily oversubscribed; the volume-weighted award value fell to 5.06 ct/kWh – the lowest level since the procedure was introduced.

Higashi Izu Furusato wind power plant starts commercial operation

wpd commissioned its first Japanese onshore wind project, the Higashi Izu Furusato wind farm (Shizuoka Prefecture), on 1 June 2026 on schedule. The 7.48 MW park with three Enercon turbines supplies green electricity to Nomura Real Estate for the new Tokyo headquarters via CPPA via NFPS.
