Novatrans GmbH has leased the fully available logistics property at Industriestraße 16 in Cologne. The company, which specialises in e-commerce, has thus secured around 11,081 square metres of storage, usable and ancillary space and is strengthening its presence in the north of Cologne. The owner of the property is Bauer Property GmbH & Co. KG, a company specialising in the development and portfolio management of real estate. Colliers acted as an intermediary in the transaction as part of a sole letting contract.
The property in the Cologne-Niehl district offers modern logistics space and creates the prerequisites for the further expansion of Novatrans. With the lease, the company is focusing on an established logistics location with good infrastructural connections and long-term development prospects.
The successful letting underlines the continued high demand for modern logistics space in urban locations and the importance of Cologne as a business location for companies in the retail, e-commerce and distribution sectors.
“By leasing the space in Cologne-Niehl, Novatrans is creating the basis for further growth and efficient handling of its logistics processes. The transaction shows that modern logistics properties in strategically well-connected locations remain in high demand,” says Martin Kubitza, Head of Industrial & Logistics in North Rhine-Westphalia at Colliers.
