CTP, Europe’s largest listed owner, developer and portfolio holder of logistics and industrial properties in terms of gross lettable area, has concluded a long-term lease extension with Versandhaus Walz GmbH for the approximately 46,000 square metre property in CTPark Bad Waldsee in the district of Ravensburg in southern Germany.
The agreement continues the long-standing cooperation between CTP and Walz and underlines the strategic importance of the Bad Waldsee site for Walz’s ongoing activities and future development. At the site, Walz continues to use a combination of office, warehouse and logistics space to support its central shipping and distribution processes.
The single-tenant property at Steinstraße 28 was acquired by CTP in 2022 and comprises around 46,000 square metres of rental space on a total plot of 79,120 square metres. As part of the ongoing partnership, targeted modernisation measures will be implemented at the site. In this way, CTP is investing not only in the quality of the location, but also in sustainable and future-proof building structures.
The contract extension reflects CTP’s overarching leasing strategy, which is focused on long-term partnerships and joint growth with existing tenants across the park network. In 2025, 71 percent of leases were concluded with existing customers, and the customer retention rate was 81 percent – clear evidence of the high stability and customer loyalty in the portfolio.
“The continuation of our partnership with Versandhaus Walz is a strong signal of the attractiveness of our location in Bad Waldsee. Long-term leases like this show how important reliable space and close cooperation are for the sustainable success of our customers. At the same time, this confirms the continued high demand for modern logistics and industrial space in Germany,” says Sandra Kraus, Leasing Director of CTP in Germany.
Timo Hielscher, Managing Director at CTP Germany, adds: “Such long-term and successful partnerships as in this case with the mail-order company Walz form an excellent basis for the cooperation between tenant and landlord. After all, a proven basis of trust accelerates joint decision-making and solution processes and thus increases efficiency considerably.”
CTPark Bad Waldsee impresses with its convenient location in an economically strong region of Upper Swabia. The nearby B30 and B465 federal highways provide a fast connection to the A96 motorway (Munich–Lindau) and to the A7, one of the most important north-south axes in Germany. This means that the location is optimally integrated into supra-regional logistics networks. At the same time, the connection to public transport ensures good accessibility for employees, including via Bad Waldsee station with regional train connections and local bus lines.
