Deka Immobilien has sold the “Schönhauser Tor” office and commercial building in Berlin-Mitte from the portfolio of the open-ended real estate fund Deka-ImmobilienEuropa. The buyer is an institutional investor. The purchase price was not disclosed.
The eight-storey office and commercial building complex at Torstraße 49 comprises around 16,200 sqm of lettable space, of which around 14,700 sqm is office, 950 sqm retail, 570 sqm warehouse and 124 parking spaces. The property is currently around 80 percent let. Deka Immobilien acquired the property in 1993.
With this transaction, the fund management is taking advantage of a market opportunity to sell in order to optimise the portfolio.
