GreenPlaces Deutschland Asset Management GmbH is setting up its own facility management. The company was able to recruit Ana Maria Vázquez Calle (58) for this service area. This brings GreenPlaces closer to its goal of bundling all important areas of the real estate value chain within its own company.
GreenPlaces develops sustainable, modular business parks in economically strong regions and keeps them in stock. The users include small and medium-sized companies in particular, such as craft businesses, start-ups and service providers. They use the two- and three-storey areas as offices, warehouses, exhibition space or for small commercial production and manufacture.
Founded in Switzerland in 2017, the company now has seven locations in Germany with a total of 276 commercial units; five other commercial parks are in the planning or construction phase. “This means that we have reached a capacity to build up an additional service sector for our space with our own facility management. The areas of land acquisition, sales, marketing, property and letting management have been covered in-house for a long time,” explains Markus Eberhard, Managing Director of GreenPlaces Deutschland Asset Management GmbH.
The first locations to be managed by the new department will be the commercial parks in Mannheim and Aichtal, which are currently still under construction, from the end of 2026. In the future, all new locations will be managed by the company’s own facility management team. The existing contracts with external facility managers who look after the locations in operation will remain in place.
The aim of the in-house solution is to improve quality for GreenPlaces, for example because it shortens response times for users. In addition, in-house facility management is associated with a gain in knowledge and skills, which should help to streamline processes and use the newly acquired knowledge for the development and operation of new locations. In the coming years, GreenPlaces wants to build up a Germany-wide network of around 80 locations.
Ana Maria Vázquez Calle has over twelve years of professional experience. The IHK business economist and IHK-certified real estate and condominium administrator worked as a commercial property manager at b.i.g. facilitymanagement GmbH & Co. KG before joining GreenPlaces. Prior to that, she worked in a similar role at TÜV Süd Advimo GmbH.
Ana Maria Vázquez Calle says: “For me, holistic facility management means combining technical and commercial know-how, further increasing user satisfaction and generating efficiency benefits. At GreenPlaces, I am excited to make an important contribution to the implementation of the 360-degree strategy in property management.”
