IMAXXAM has acquired the property Otto-Fleck-Schneise 6 in Frankfurt from a private investor group. The property was the headquarters of the German Football Association (DFB) for more than five decades and is now used by Eintracht Frankfurt as a “sports quarter in the city forest”. The seller side was exclusively advised by PTXRE and Colliers. Previously, Colliers had already brokered the property to the current group of sellers on behalf of the DFB.
The property is located in Frankfurt’s city forest in the immediate vicinity of Deutsche Bank Park. Since the purchase by the sellers, the building has been comprehensively repositioned. Certification with the BREEAM rating of “Very Good” is currently in preparation. The property has a PV system and e-charging stations.
The building is fully leased to Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG on a long-term basis. In addition, the property is used by the Institute of Sports Science at Goethe University, the Association of German Football Teachers and other sports-related institutions, among others. The sports quarter is also part of the “Campus Sports Germany” project funded by the state of Hesse.
“With Eintracht Frankfurt as a prominent anchor tenant and a diversified user mix, the Sportcampus offers long-term secured rental income for IMAXXAM. We are all the more pleased to have placed the property on the market again after successful repositioning,” comments Felix von Saucken, CEO at Colliers in Germany.
