JLL completes marketing of insolvent fund with four shopping centers
The Activ Group has bought the City Rondell in Villingen-Schwenningen. This means that the last property from the Highstreet VIII fund has also changed hands. The seller is the insolvency administrator of the fund, who has commissioned Hannover Leasing with the investment and asset management. The shopping centre has a total lettable area of 10,500 m² with a plot size of around 5,850 m². Anchor tenants are Müller, McShape Fitness, Woolworth and Tedi. The property at Kronenstraße 21 was built in 1980 and modernised in 1995, 2005 and 2016. Currently, 85 percent of the center is rented, with around half being accounted for by local suppliers. In addition, there are 410 parking spaces spread over three parking decks.
JLL advised the seller and brokered the transaction.
The insolvency administrator had commissioned JLL to market the retail properties in 2025 after the fund’s property companies became insolvent. In addition to the City Rondell, the Vechte Arkaden in Nordhorn, the Stern Center in Sindelfingen and the Shopping Plaza Garbsen were part of the package of the Highstreet VIII Fund.
