New Data Center Lead JLL Germany will strategically expand business area
JLL appoints Jens Bertram as Data Center Director Germany as of May 15, 2026. The telecommunications and data center expert has more than 30 years of international experience in strategic leadership positions. For British Telecom, he was largely responsible for global expansion projects as well as the operational operation of the infrastructure in the EMEA, Asia-Pacific and North America regions.
From 2023 to 2025, Bertram was Director Operations & Facility DACH at NorthC Datacenters and a member of the German management board. In addition, he is involved as founder and director of the aid organization “Hands for Cambodia”. For over 16 years, he has been improving the living conditions of disadvantaged people there with personal commitment and completely donation-based.
In his new role, Bertram will strategically build and expand the data center business. In doing so, he combines sound consulting with targeted business development along the entire data center life cycle – from site selection to project management and operation. Together with the team, he will develop innovative solutions for investors, developers and operators and coordinate all JLL business units in the data center segment.
Martina Williams, Head of JLL Work Dynamics Northern Europe: “Data centers are a clear growth market for JLL in Germany, in which we supervise site search and construction projects and manage the operation of data centers. Jens Bertram’s technical and industry knowledge as well as his personal experience are the ideal complement to strategically expand our expertise and services and to offer optimal advice for developers, investors, users and operators in this complex business field.”
