Logicor leases 72,800 m² to ID Logistics in Alsdorf
Logicor, a leading owner, manager and developer of European logistics properties, has fully leased its logistics property at Konrad-Zuse-Straße 1a in Alsdorf to ID Logistics.
The international logistics service provider uses the approximately 72,800 m² area to handle warehouse and distribution logistics for a global online retailer. ID Logistics plans to gradually put the property into operation from the third quarter of 2026 and to go into full operation from the second quarter of 2027. During ongoing operations, up to 50,000 parcels are handled every day.
In addition, the establishment of ID Logistics at the Alsdorf site will create around 300 new jobs in the coming months and thus make a sustainable contribution to the economic development of the region.
In addition to the extensive storage areas, the property also includes office, social and technical areas. In addition, 296 car and 10 truck parking spaces are available. The location is characterized by its good transport connections. The nearby A44 and A4 motorways provide direct connections to the metropolitan regions of Cologne and Düsseldorf as well as to important European transport corridors – ideal conditions for international supply chains.
The Rhine-Ruhr region is one of the most important logistics markets in Europe and offers companies a strong industrial base and an efficient infrastructure.
“Alsdorf offers ideal conditions for our e-commerce contract logistics business. These include the size of the property, the qualified workforce potential in the region and the excellent logistical connections. At the same time, we are enabling the sustainable further development of the existing property and creating 300 jobs there, supported by modern technologies. The new central logistics center also complements our presence in western Germany in an economically strong region,” explains Robin Otto, CEO of ID Logistics Germany.
Janica Gerecke, Managing Director, Head of Germany at Logicor, says: “Our proactive approach to the leasing process and our existing relationship with ID Logistics have enabled us to quickly provide a suitable solution that meets the company’s requirements for its further growth in Europe.”
