Goldbeck Parking Services GmbH – a specialist in the management and revitalisation of parking properties – has put the Westgate multi-storey car park into operation in the Feelds business park in Schönefeld near Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). Under a long-term lease agreement with a term of 20 years, the company is now responsible for the operation of the property with a total of 668 parking spaces. The multi-storey car park was also built by Goldbeck and completed in April 2026 after only one year of construction.
Efficient operation and high user comfort
Already in the planning and construction phase, the basis for efficient and resource-saving operation was created. Systematised construction, an open architecture with natural ventilation, a photovoltaic system, a green roof and sustainable drainage solutions contribute to energy and resource efficiency. The project thus shows how sustainability measures can be economically feasible and thus minimise the ecological footprint of infrastructure projects.
To ensure smooth operations, Goldbeck’s parking specialist relies on cashless payment and a ticketless parking check-in system with fully automated license plate recognition. This significantly reduces traffic jams and waiting times and noticeably accelerates entrances and exits. The offer is supplemented by 14 charging points for electric vehicles.
“With the Westgate multi-storey car park, we are expanding our portfolio at a strategically important location in the vicinity of Berlin Airport. Our goal is to offer users a comfortable and smooth parking experience, especially at such a busy mobility hub,” says Fidan Kuqi, Project Manager at Goldbeck Parking Services GmbH.
Due to the immediate proximity to the BER terminal, the A113 motorway and public transport, the parking offer is aimed in particular at travellers and commuters. A free shuttle service connects the Westgate multi-storey car park and the neighbouring Northgate multi-storey car park, which is built and operated by Goldbeck, directly with the airport.
“We are pleased that the multi-storey car park will now be seamlessly integrated into the operation of Goldbeck Parking Services after successful completion. The project shows how planning, construction and operation can be optimally interlinked in the sense of a holistic approach. This underlines our life cycle offer once again,” adds Srdjan Balaban, branch manager of the Goldbeck office for parking garages in Berlin-Brandenburg.
