Union Investment concludes lease agreements for 3,500 m2
Stuttgart’s Engineering Park (STEP) at Gropiusplatz, known for its strong focus on engineering, mobility and high-tech development, can look forward to three recent lease agreements. Union Investment has signed three lease agreements with consulting and service companies for a total of 3,517 m2 of office space in its STEP 6 and STEP 8.3 properties.
“The proximity to leading industrial companies in the economically strong Stuttgart region and the combination of research and business create a very attractive innovation and start-up environment in the STEP Park, which ensures good demand for high-quality office space,” says Sven Lintl, Head of Asset Management DACH at Union Investment.
The IT service provider GEBIT Solutions, which has been Union Investment’s rental partner in STEP 8.3 since 2018, has expanded its office space to a total of 1,807 m2 and has committed itself to the location for the long term with a ten-year lease. “With the new construction of STEP 8.3 in 2018, we had the opportunity to move into modern and attractive offices in familiar surroundings and to design them according to our needs. Since the location is highly valued by our employees, we are pleased about the long-term perspective and the opportunity to optimally cover our increased demand by adding additional space,” says Michael Steinbach, branch manager Stuttgart.
New tenant in STEP 6 is X_Conducting. The Stuttgart-based consulting and services company was already based in STEP Park, but for reasons of expansion it opted for Union Investment’s property and leased 855 m2 of office space there with a contract term of five years. “With our new office at Gropiusplatz, we have deliberately chosen one of the most attractive office locations in Stuttgart. The excellent infrastructure, numerous offers for lunch breaks and the modern and representative environment create ideal conditions for our employees, customers and applicants. We believe in Stuttgart as a business location – and Gropiusplatz is the perfect place for us to continue our growth,” says Daniel Stückel, X_Conducting.
Also in STEP 6, the company RSE+ has extended its lease for 855 m2 for another five years. The company combines the areas of architecture and engineering, factory and logistics planning as well as supply chain and production consulting and thus offers complete solutions for commercial working environments, residential and educational construction, commercial and industrial projects, logistics and aerospace. “The STEP offers us the ideal environment to future-proof our office. We have already moved twice within the STEP in order to be able to grow and are looking forward to the next development steps at the site,” says Lukas Holzinger, Managing Partner at RSE+.
