Robert C. Spies Industrial Real Estate GmbH & Co. KG has successfully brokered two rental spaces to Bremer Tafel e.V., thus creating the basis for the sustainable further development of the social infrastructure in Bremen. The focus is on a new distribution point in the Hastedt district and an additional logistics centre in Überseestadt.
The prelude is the conclusion of a long-term lease with a term of five years for a commercial unit at Insterburger Straße 15a–17. The property, located in the Bremen-Hastedt district of Bremen, comprises around 420 m² of hall and office space and will be used as a distribution point for people affected by poverty in the future. The landlord is a private owner, the lease started on 01.01.2026.
At the same time, another location has been secured: a central logistics centre for the Bremer Tafel and a distribution centre for the Lower Saxony/Bremen regional association of food banks are being built in the Speicherhof in Überseestadt Bremen. The landlord is Vollers Group GmbH, the lease is scheduled to start on 01.07.2026. The location will thus be used as a logistical hub for supplying the distribution points in the city area and around 25 food banks in the surrounding area.
“With this double blow, it has been possible to further develop the supply structure of the Bremer Tafel in a targeted and future-oriented manner. The combination of a decentralised issuing point and a central logistics location creates the conditions for efficient and reliable care for people affected by poverty,” says Marcel Holka, Senior Consultant Logistics & Industrial Real Estate at Robert C. Spies. “Especially against the backdrop of a challenging market environment, the long-term safeguarding of social infrastructure is of particular relevance.”
The Bremer Tafel also underlines the importance of the new locations: “The demand for support remains at a high level in Bremen. With the new space, we are creating the structural conditions to secure our work in the long term and to further develop our services in line with demand in the future,” says Uwe Schneider, Chairman of Bremer Tafel e.V.
