The Ypsilon Group will open a new office in Frankfurt am Main on October 1, 2026. The consulting firm, which specializes in financial services and real estate, is thus expanding its presence with another central branch. In addition to the existing offices in Cologne, Berlin, Munich, Düsseldorf and Hamburg, the office at Solmsstraße 83 will serve clients from the region as well as from all over Germany and abroad. Managing partner and lawyer Amir B. Nabipour is responsible for the management and development of the Frankfurt office. He is responsible for the Indirect Tax division throughout the Group, with a focus on VAT, customs and excise duties.
Nabipour, whose industry focuses on financial services, e-commerce and real estate, most recently headed the Indirect Tax practice in Frankfurt as a Senior Manager at Nexia, where he also built up and developed. His experience gained in leading international consulting firms, including the Big Four, also includes advising on complex judicial and out-of-court appeal proceedings.
As Director, Michael Conzelmann, tax consultant and specialist advisor for international tax law, will take over the management of Corporate Tax and International Tax at the Frankfurt office. Most recently, he also worked as a Senior Manager at Nexia, advising real estate companies, private equity structures and international corporate groups in particular on structuring, transactions and restructurings.
The new branch combines indirect tax as well as corporate and international taxation under one roof. The range of services ranges from tax structuring and implementation in ongoing business to the declaration and support of audits and dispute proceedings. One focus is on e-commerce, in particular advising Amazon merchants and companies with Shopify shops on cross-border supply chains and fulfillment structures as well as VAT and customs compliance.
“Frankfurt combines a strong financial and investment market with an international corporate landscape. Here, we complement Ypsilon’s existing strengths with specialized advice on VAT, customs and excise duties and place a special focus on e-commerce and cross-border business models,” explains Nabipour.
The group-wide expansion of Indirect Tax also benefits clients who are already served in other Ypsilon locations. The Frankfurt team works closely with the Group’s departments in Tax, Audit and Advisory as well as with international network partners.
