Construction project “Holzmarkt 51” – demolition of the old swimming pool

In Friedrichshain, the demolition of the old swimming pool on Holzmarktstraße began on July 13, 2026. The official start of construction for "Holzmarkt 51" is planned for the end of August; by 2030, a new indoor swimming pool, 375 apartments and office and retail space will be built.

General contractor found for the “Holzmarkt 51” district: PORR Hochbau Ost takes over the operational management of the district development

Berlinovo and Berliner Bäder-Betriebe have commissioned PORR Hochbau Ost as the general contractor for the "Holzmarkt 51" district. Start of construction Q3/2026 with dismantling of the old swimming pool, completion by the beginning of 2030. Planned: indoor swimming pool, approx. 375 apartments, 4,600 m² offices, 1,500 m² retail.
