Quantum achieves leasing success in Copenhagen:
With the completion of the Beckmann Turm & Wilhelm Haus, all 196 apartments have been rented out and transferred to ongoing asset management. The sophisticated new building is special in its quality and as the first purchase of Quantum on the Danish market. Further activities will follow.
Purchased for a club of institutional investors in autumn 2023, the Beckmann Turm & Wilhelm Haus building ensemble in Copenhagen was completed on time at the end of March. Full occupancy has already been reached. All 196 apartments were rented, handed over to their new tenants and taken over for ongoing asset management.
“The first acquisition in Denmark represents a strategically significant milestone for Quantum. We are looking forward to the next steps together with our investors and partners on the ground. Copenhagen in particular inspires and offers new opportunities for investments,” says Frank Gerhard Schmidt, CEO of Quantum Immobilien AG.
“We would like to thank all those involved in the project for the trusting and reliable cooperation, especially the seller Carlsberg City District P/S, who completed the project in excellent quality. Our asset management in Copenhagen will now take over in close coordination with our headquarters in Hamburg,” adds Martin Berghoff, Managing Director of Quantum.
Living in an up-and-coming location in Copenhagen
The Beckmann Turm & Wilhelm Haus building ensemble was built according to the designs of the Danish architect Dorte Mandrup and is located in the Carlsberg Quartier, a vibrant district on historic ground. This is where modern architecture meets historic charm. The excellent craftsmanship is reflected, for example, in the high-quality clinker façade of the buildings.
Exactly where the headquarters of the Carlsberg Brewery used to be located, the Beckmann Tower and the Wilhelm Haus are now located. The 196 privately financed rental apartments diversify the housing supply throughout the quarter and offer highly sought-after housing in an up-and-coming location in Copenhagen.
