The UKA Group is strengthening its presence in the Italian market: On 11 June 2026, Daniele Ascioti will start as Managing Director of the project companies UKA Solar Latiano S.r.l. and UKA Solar Ramacca S.r.l. as well as Head of PV and Storage Project Development at UKA Italia S.r.l. In parallel, Álvaro Sierra Torrón, who has successfully built up UKA Italia since its foundation, will now focus on his role as Managing Director of UKA Iberia and continue to drive the Spanish business. “Italy is one of Europe’s most attractive markets for renewable energies – with ambitious expansion targets, an attractive electricity price level and a suitable regulatory framework,” says Maximilian Neef, Head of International Business at UKA. “We want to use our many years of expertise in the development of renewable energy projects in a targeted manner in Italy. Daniele Ascioti is an electrical engineer and has been working in the project development of energy projects for around 17 years – with a focus on renewable energies in Italy. He has been active in several international companies, most recently as Director Project Development at Vestas in Rome.
