A joint venture between the Reiß & Co. Group and PEG – Projektentwicklungsgesellschaft Hamburg mbH has started construction work on the Premier Inn Hotel in the St. Georg district. On a 3,800 square metre plot in the immediate vicinity of the main train station, the eighth Premier Inn in the Hanseatic city is to be built by mid-2028 with a total of 296 rooms. Previously, the JV partners had signed a long-term lease agreement with the future operator for a new development with a total area of approx. 10,000 square metres at Adenauerallee 21-25.

The new hotel building is being built according to the plans of the architectural firm RKW Architekten and by the JV partners PEG – Projektentwicklungsgesellschaft Hamburg mbH and the Reiß & Co. Group. The construction company Köster GmbH has been commissioned as general contractor for the construction work. The laying of the foundation stone is planned for autumn 2026. Bayern LB is responsible for the financing.
In Germany, Premier Inn is one of the largest hotel operators in the budget sector with 74 running hotels in prime locations. In Vienna, the group is represented by one hotel so far. In this financial year alone, the brand with the purple logo is opening 12 hotels.
