Two retail properties managed by the KGAL Group have been awarded the “Award of Excellence” by the Shopping Center Performance Report Austria (SCPRÖ) 2026. In the annual tenant survey, the “Shopping Haidäcker Park” in Eisenstadt took first place in the Retail Parks category. The “eo Center / eo Park” in Oberwart achieved second place among Austrian shopping malls.
The “Award of Excellence” honours the most economically successful retail locations in Austria from a tenant’s point of view. “Shopping Haidäcker Park” achieved the best rating this year with a score of 1.5, making it the second time after 2021 that it has topped Austrian retail parks. Among the shopping malls, the “eo Center / eo Park” took second place with a score of 1.84.
“The awards are of great importance to us because the ratings come from companies that can assess the economic development of the locations from their own experience,” says Alexander Pamer, Managing Director of KGAL Asset Management Austria. “At the same time, the top rankings confirm our strategy: a needs-based tenant mix, reliable cooperation with tenants and the continuous development of the properties are crucial for long-term success.”
KGAL Asset Management Österreich GmbH, headquartered in Vienna, is a 100% subsidiary of the KGAL Group. Since 2006, it has been developing, managing and managing real estate assets for institutional investors and public companies with a total volume of around EUR 1.4 billion. KGAL acquired “Shopping Haidäcker Park” in 2013 as the first property for the institutional real estate fund Austrian Retail Park Portfolio (ARPP). The “eo Center” has been part of the portfolio since 2014 and was expanded in 2022 with the opening of the “eo Park”.
Every year, ecostra’s Shopping Center Performance Report Austria examines the economic performance of Austrian shopping centers from the perspective of their tenants. 58 chain stores took part in SCPRÖ 2026, which submitted reviews of around 1,380 of their stores. The portfolio examined included 155 locations, including 96 shopping malls and 59 retail parks.
