Leipzig: Delayed decisions slow down the logistics market
Leipzig’s logistics real estate market recorded below-average take-up in the first half of 2026. Despite numerous tenders, economic uncertainties led to many leasing decisions being postponed. At the same time, demand is increasingly shifting towards production, aviation and logistics services.
For the second half of the year, there are signs of a revival of market activity. With the specification of numerous applications and additional space completions, market activity is likely to increase, even if the expanded supply increases the pressure on rental development in the short term. However, the fact that prime rents in new buildings are already being exceeded in some cases underlines the long-term potential for rent increases.
