Newmark Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NMRK) (“Newmark”), a leading provider of commercial real estate services to institutional investors, global corporations and other owners and occupiers, has acquired L+P Immobilienbewertungs GmbH (“LP”). L+P will be integrated into Newmark’s Valuation & Advisory business unit within Investor Solutions in the future.
L+P was founded more than 25 years ago and has since developed into one of the most successful full-service providers of real estate valuation in Germany. The company employs a team of more than 40 specialists and serves institutional clients throughout Europe. L+P has extensive expertise in commercial, residential and specialty properties, combining deep local market knowledge with a long-standing reputation for world-class valuations.
“Our aim has always been to deliver independent, reliable and high-quality real estate valuations,” says Dr. Helge Ludwig, founder of L+P Immobilienbewertungs GmbH. “By joining forces with Newmark, we can combine this expertise with an international platform and complementary technology expertise. Together, we are creating a stronger company that offers our customers even more added value and opens up new perspectives for our employees.”
“L+P is an excellent addition to Newmark and another important milestone in the expansion of our Valuation & Advisory business in Europe,” said John Busi, President of Newmark Valuation & Advisory. “With our fourth acquisition in Valuation & Advisory this year, we are further expanding our position and can better support our clients with world-class expertise, technology-enabled solutions and the strength of a growing international platform.”
“The German market demands valuation expertise that combines technical know-how with decades of market experience,” explains Marcus Lütgering, Country Head Germany at Newmark. “With L+P, we are gaining a team that has been preparing precise and legally binding real estate valuations for investors, credit institutions, investment companies and the public sector for more than 25 years. Together, we will continue to expand our expertise and create even greater added value for investors, financiers and institutional clients.”
The acquisition builds on Newmark’s continued investment in the Valuation & Advisory business. These include the acquisition of Catella Valuation Advisory in France, the Canadian valuation business of Altus Group and einwert, which was recently acquired by Newmark Germany. Together, these investments strengthen Newmark’s valuation expertise in strategically important markets.
