Newmark is expanding its German Living Capital Markets business with several strategic hires in Düsseldorf, further expanding its presence in the regional residential investment market. The company has appointed experienced real estate consultant Amir El Moarawi as Head of Living Capital Markets North Rhine-Westphalia. Together with Senior Vice President Tim Wiesel and Vice President Jan Wallerand, he will drive the further expansion of Newmark’s residential investment platform in the region.
“We are consistently pursuing our growth strategy in Germany. By strengthening our team in Düsseldorf, we are expanding our regional presence in a market that is characterized by high dynamics and strong investor interest,” says Marcus Lütgering, Country Head Germany at Newmark.
Amir El Moarawi has more than nine years of experience in real estate consulting in Düsseldorf. Most recently, he worked together with Tim Wiesel at Colliers, where both made a significant contribution to the expansion of the Residential Capital Markets business. The team is joined by Jan Wallerand, who joined Newmark last year after spending more than four years in CBRE’s residential investment team.
“With its economically strong metropolitan regions and a broad-based investor base, North Rhine-Westphalia offers enormous potential in the residential sector,” says Tobias Köhler, Co-Head of Living Capital Markets Germany at Newmark. “Our goal as a team is to support our customers in the best possible way with in-depth local market knowledge and first-class advice.”
