The Nordex Group and DenkerWulf are continuing their collaboration in Schleswig-Holstein with a new wind energy project. DenkerWulf has ordered nine N149/5.X wind turbines from the Nordex Group for the Bredenbek wind farm, with a total capacity of 51.3 MW. Construction is scheduled to begin in autumn 2027, with the first turbine due to be commissioned in December 2027. The contract also includes a 20-year Premium Service package for the turbines.
The Bredenbek wind farm is being built in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district. The nine N149/5.X turbines are being erected, each with a capacity of 5.7 MW and a hub height of 105 metres.
Bredenbek marks yet another joint project for DenkerWulf and Nordex. As recently as the end of 2025, Nordex had received orders from DenkerWulf totalling more than 122 MW for three wind farms, also in Schleswig-Holstein.
“Behind every wind farm lies an intensive planning and development phase. We are therefore all the more delighted that, with Bredenbek, we are now taking the next step towards realisation. In Nordex, we have a partner at our side with whom we have already successfully implemented numerous projects. We would like to build on this success in Bredenbek as well,” says Jann Peter Freese-Harelik, project manager at DenkerWulf.
Karsten Brüggemann, Vice President of the Central Region at the Nordex Group: “Every additional kilowatt-hour we generate from wind strengthens our energy independence and reduces our reliance on imported energy sources. With the Bredenbek project, we are working alongside DenkerWulf to achieve precisely this: through high-performance technology, a long-standing partnership and a clear focus on the further expansion of wind energy in Germany. We would like to thank DenkerWulf for their continued trust in us and for our collaborative partnership.”
