Perigus Energy Deutschland GmbH has acquired the rights for the Olpe-Rehringhausen wind farm project from ABO Energy GmbH & Co. KGaA. The two project developers signed an agreement to this effect. This means that Perigus Energy, headquartered in Regensburg and with a branch in Essen, will be responsible for the further implementation of the project in the future.
Planning for the wind farm is already well advanced: On 26 March 2026, the district of Olpe (North Rhine-Westphalia) granted approval for the construction and operation of three wind turbines, each with a capacity of seven megawatts. They are located in a designated wind priority area in the Rother Stein forest area near the B55 federal road.
Perigus Energy is developing the Windfart wind farm only about three kilometres east of the Olpe-Rehringhausen wind farm. The spatial proximity of both projects creates valuable synergies and supports efficient planning, implementation and subsequent operation of the wind farms.
