The global real estate service provider CBRE has advised the owner, who does not want to be mentioned, of the Colonius Carré in Cologne on his sale process. The buyer of the mixed-use property is Ashtrom Properties Germany GmbH. The purchase price was not disclosed.
The Colonius Carré is located at Subbelrather Straße 15–15c in the Ehrenfeld district of Cologne and has a total rental area of around 14,675 square meters. The space is mainly used as an office and for retail.
The property is characterised in particular by its location directly on the inner green belt. In addition to the high quality of local recreation, the location offers very good transport connections and high visibility on Subbelrather Straße, an important access road to Cologne’s city centre. Cologne Cathedral can be reached by car in about ten minutes. The ensemble is also characterised by its campus architecture with a green inner courtyard as a central element.
“The Colonius Carré combines an attractive inner-city location with a high quality of stay and an independent campus architecture. It is precisely the combination of very good visibility, the proximity to the inner green belt and the flexible use by offices and retail that makes the property a special investment on the Cologne real estate market,” says Georg Hölz, Head of Investment Düsseldorf & Region West at CBRE.
