Wermuth Asset Management Supports Strategic Growth Financing for 'The Mobility House' and 'Ellona'
Wermuth Asset Management (“WAM”) via Funds managed by its Alternative Investment Manager (AIFM) Wermuth Investment Management (“WIM”), participated in two strategic growth financings supporting European technology companies operating at the intersection of electrification, artificial intelligence, and intelligent infrastructure.
Together with one of its investors, Green Gateway Fund participated in the latest financing round with approximately 34% in Munich-based The Mobility House (“TMH”), the leading platform for vehicle-to-grid integration (V2G), providing intelligent charging and energy management solutions.
In parallel, Green Growth Fund 2 structured and led, with approximately 25%, the latest financing round of Toulouse-based Ellona, a provider of AI-powered environmental and situational intelligence combined with automatic response systems.
In both transactions, WAM played a leading role in structuring the financing rounds and bringing together investors to support the companies’ next phase of growth.
“The Mobility House and Ellona operate in sectors that we believe will become increasingly important for Europe’s competitiveness over the coming decade,” said Jochen Wermuth, Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Wermuth Asset Management. “Both companies address structural challenges facing Europe – from energy system resilience and electrification to AI-driven infrastructure intelligence. We are pleased to support their continued growth.”
Strategic Investors Back Technologies for a Resilient European Economy
'The Mobility House' develops intelligent charging and energy management solutions that enable electric vehicle batteries to support electricity grids and optimize energy usage in real time. As electrification accelerates across Europe, technologies that improve grid flexibility, energy efficiency, and infrastructure resilience are becoming increasingly important.
The financing round included strategic investors from the automotive, energy, and infrastructure sectors, including Mercedes-Benz, Alliance Ventures – the venture capital arm of Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi – Mitsui, as well as Singapore Power and ComfortDelGro Groups from Singapore.
'Ellona' combines innovative AI and sensor technology with real-time environmental data analysis and immediate response management to help industrial operators, infrastructure providers, and cities optimize environmental performance and operations.
Its technology reflects the growing importance of infrastructure intelligence as industrial systems become increasingly data-driven and interconnected, improving both effectiveness & efficiency. Its shareholders include ADP Invest and Airbus Ventures. WAM led an Accelerated Book Building round -usually employed for bond market transactions – to close the round within a tight timeframe.
From Climate Technology to Industrial Competitiveness
WAM views both transactions as examples of a broader shift currently taking place across Europe.
Electrification, intelligent infrastructure, and AI-enabled operational systems are increasingly driving industrial competitiveness, energy security, and economic resilience. As a result, technologies that improve the efficiency, flexibility, and intelligence of industrial systems are attracting growing investor attention.
“Europe has no shortage of innovation,” added Wermuth. “What is often missing is the growth capital and financing expertise required to scale strategically important technologies into global leaders. We see a significant opportunity to support companies operating in exactly this space.”
The investments in 'The Mobility House' and 'Ellona' reflect WAM’s broader focus on technologies shaping Europe’s next resilient industrial revolution.
