In Berlin-Karlshorst, the topping-out ceremony for a new housing project in Walkürenstraße was celebrated on July 8, 2026. The organiser of the topping-out ceremony is INTER STADT AG, which is building the project as the property developer. STADT UND LAND Wohnbauten-Gesellschaft mbH took part in the topping-out ceremony as the future portfolio holder and will take over the project in its portfolio after turnkey completion.
The project comprises a total of 234 rental apartments. Of these, 230 apartments will be publicly subsidized and rented to holders of a housing eligibility certificate after completion. 159 apartments are intended for households with WBS 220 and are therefore also accessible to people with medium incomes. The net rents are 7.00 euros per square metre for holders of a WBS 100 and WBS 140 and 11.50 euros per square metre for holders of a WBS 220.
The residential complex offers 1- to 5-room apartments with apartment sizes between 34 and 99 square meters. It is being built in a mature residential environment in Lichtenberg with good connections, lots of greenery and proximity to educational and leisure facilities. According to the current status, completion and readiness for occupancy are planned for the end of 2027.
With the topping-out ceremony, important construction progress has been made. The project was purchased by STADT UND LAND in 2024 as a turnkey property development project. It complements the existing commitment of STADT UND LAND in the district of Lichtenberg, including in nearby Tannhäuserstraße, where 147 rental apartments have already been built in the subsidized segment.
