Aroundtown has achieved a significant long-term leasing success for the office building on Paul-Henri Spaaklaan in Maastricht. Maastricht University (UM) has leased the entire building, which comprises a total area of 4,640 sqm and 74 parking spaces. The transaction was supported by Spauwen Werrij Bedrijfsmakelaars from Heerlen, who advised Aroundtown throughout the leasing process.
Maastricht University will accommodate supporting departments within the building; no regular teaching activities will take place on the premises.
The property is very attractively located in Maastricht–Randwyck, which is easily accessible by both public and private transport. This is also reflected in the presence of other prominent occupiers such as the adjacent MECC (Maastricht Exhibition and Congress Centre) and MUMC+ (Maastricht University Medical Centre), highlighting the location’s appeal to both institutional users and occupiers from the public sector.
The new lease underlines Aroundtown’s expertise in the real estate market and confirms the company’s ability to successfully position properties for the long term. “The full and long-term leasing of this property to a renowned tenant such as Maastricht University is an important success for Aroundtown. It demonstrates that with our active asset management approach, we are able to successfully resolve challenging initial vacancy situations and create sustainable tenant relationships,” says Sander van Holland, Head of Asset Management at Aroundtown.
Aroundtown provides its tenants with comprehensive services, including dedicated on-site contacts and a central 24/7 service centre staffed by trained personnel, available at all times, including weekends and public holidays. As one of Europe’s leading listed real estate companies and a member of the MDAX, Aroundtown once again demonstrates with this transaction its ability to achieve sustainable leasing successes and establish long-term partnerships with renowned tenants.
