Nordex Group receives 112 MW order from NeXtWind for wind farm in Altmark, Saxony-Anhalt

The Nordex Group has received an order from NeXtWind for 112 MW for the Altmark wind farm in Saxony-Anhalt: 16 N175/6.X turbines at a hub height of 179 m, including 20 years of premium service. Installation from November 2027, commissioning in spring 2028.

Flower International: Flower and ENGIE Sign Long-Term Battery Flexibility Purchase Agreement in Germany

ENGIE and Flower enter into a seven-year virtual Flexibility Purchase Agreement (FPA) for 126 MW of BESS-based flexibility in Germany. It will start on 1 January 2029 and will support, among other things, the 100 MW/400 MWh project in Hamburg and Döllnitz (63 MW/257 MWh).

Nordex Group receives new US orders for a total of 484 MW

The Nordex Group has received three new orders in the USA for a total of 484 MW. One order includes 32 N133/4.8 turbines (around 154 MW), two further 56 N163/5.X turbines (around 350 MW); Customers and projects remain unnamed. CEO Manav Sharma sees further growth in North America.

Higashi Izu Furusato wind power plant starts commercial operation

wpd commissioned its first Japanese onshore wind project, the Higashi Izu Furusato wind farm (Shizuoka Prefecture), on 1 June 2026 on schedule. The 7.48 MW park with three Enercon turbines supplies green electricity to Nomura Real Estate for the new Tokyo headquarters via CPPA via NFPS.

Energy with a signal effect: The world’s largest solar system on the stadium roof brings first successes for Borussia Dortmund

Six months after commissioning, the world's largest PV system on the roof of SIGNAL IDUNA PARK is showing its first successes. More than 4 GWh of electricity per year and around 1,700 t of CO₂ savings are planned. Developed by RWE, with modules from JA, the project sets standards for sustainable stadium energy.

Opening of the repowered Scheid wind farm: MLK Group and eegon celebrate together with local citizens

MLK Group and the eegon Eifel Energy Cooperative opened the repowered Scheid wind farm in the Volcanic Eifel region on 10 June. Two Nordex N163 turbines in the 7 MW class are connected to the grid, with an output of 14 MW. The focus is on citizen participation; further expansion is planned.
