Colliers France entrusts the management of its Valuation & Advisory Services department to Christopher Lavery

Colliers France announces the arrival of Christopher Lavery to head its Valuation & Advisory Services department. With a dual background as an advisor and investor, and a pan-European expertise of more than 20 years, his mission will be to accelerate the commercial development of the valuation activity, by strengthening its positioning with institutional investors, French and international management companies and large public entities. Thus affirming the firm’s position as a reference partner on complex and cross-border mandates.

Christopher Lavery, who joined the team on June 23 under the direction of Ludovic Delaisse, President of Colliers France, is responsible for the technical and normative supervision of all asset valuation processes. In close collaboration with the ESG department and all the other business lines, he will develop an integrated and cross-functional offer allowing investors to precisely measure the financial impact of their ESG obligations, compliance costs, regulatory deadlines, decarbonisation strategies, but also the levers for value creation – solar revenues, cost reduction, etc Improved tenant retention and environmental labels and effect on market and rental values.

Christopher Lavery’s career

Christopher Lavery has more than 20 years of experience in the European real estate markets. MRICS certified, he benefits from a unique global vision of the sector, acquired both within major consulting firms and leading investment and financing structures.

He started his career at JLL Paris before joining King Sturge as Associate Director in charge of expertise for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Back in London, he joined King Sturge’s pan-European expertise team – then JLL after the merger – consolidating his foothold in the French market and his cross-border multi-asset class expertise (residential, offices, logistics). In particular, he built the cross-selling model that still structures Colliers‘ growth strategy today.

Subsequently, Christopher held senior management positions at Colliers as Director of Pan-European Valuation, managing the mandates of various institutional clients – private equity funds, investment banks, fund management firms, sponsors and international government institutions for IPO transactions, mergers and acquisitions, collateral guarantees, valuations for the purposes of closing accounts across more than 20 countries.

As part of Nomura International’s EMEA Real Estate & ABS Solutions (Global Markets) team, where he served as Vice President, Christopher held a front office role in investment banking, underwriting and executing senior and whole loan financings on complex Core+ and value-add transactions across Europe, including France.

As a key interlocutor for the Credit Risk teams and external advisors, he has managed due diligence and supported credit committees in their decision-making, thus acquiring an in-depth knowledge of the requirements of institutional lenders on a wide range of assets: offices, retail, managed residential sectors (PBSA, BTR, Co-living, Senior Living), hospitality, logistics, self-storage and life sciences, then within the Burstone / Blackstone joint venture, in charge of acquisitions and mid-box logistics developments and IOS assets in France and the rest of Europe of infrastructure projects (solar canopies). This dual role of investor and technical advisor is now a valuable added value for Colliers‘ clients.
